Interhouse iMovie Competition 2008
*Woof* I need to take a deep breathe....*inhale*, *exhale*
Okay, we have four sport houses in Cempaka Schools. They are Beruang, Harimau, Helang and Seladang. We have always been competing with other houses all the time no matter in Games, Quiz, Debate, Academic, or even making MOVIE!
I almost forgot to mention, I'm BERUANG!!! And proud to be BERUANG!!!! Anyway, let's not get drifted away. So, after watching all movies from all houses including our sister's school's movies (Cempaka Damansara). Clearly, the overall result is so much better compare to past years.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to tell something very important....I'm Beruang iMovie Captain. Director of this year's iMovie. Use zoom if you bother to read the small font. Well, I hope my hypothesis is right, "The more effects used in the movie, the more marks you gain for the movie".......LOL
Obviously, that's not right. Because, the movie was judged according to the following aspects:
1) Acting
2) Soundtracks
3) Editing
4) Camera Angles
5) Script
6) Unknown....
It should be more than that. So after judging, these are the results:
First Place goes to: HELANG (832 marks) -.-
Second Place goes to: BERUANG!!!!! (817 marks) T.T
Third Place goes to: SELADANG (500<600>
Fourth Place goes to: HARIMAU (300<400>

Let me briefly say about the weakness of other houses. (Due to my feeling, no theory)
Helang:
-I don't like the sound but congratulations, you got best soundtrack award. Swt.....
-Story is quite simple, expected story-line. Just like the past.
Overall: The movie was quite smooth, well done.
Seladang:
-Camera angle not so good, leave too many space for unnecessary objects. Should focus more on the main object.
-The movie was not clearly shown the genre either comedy or action. Confusion.
-I don't really see anything to do with Television. Just candles. Theme was not presented clearly.
Harimau:
-Actually the quality does not really matter, but this one is too much. It's like "Cetak Rompak" bought from "Pasar Malam"
-The sound also terrible, when conversation the sound "SA-SA-sa-SA", when no conversation then COMPLETELY SILENCE.
-Story is weird, can't really get anything
-NO TRANSITION...OMG!! How can a movie being produced without any transitions between different scenes.
***My comments are not meant to insult any houses, it shows that you all have a lot roomsss for improvement, that's very good.***
Movie file cannot be played?
For Mac User:
I just found out some of my friends actually install "Windows" in their macbook because "Mac OSX" couldn't play some movie format. For example, .rmvb, .wmv, .mkv, .ogm, and so on. Those video format are not playable by default unless you do something to it.One of the easiest way is by changing the file name, for instance, the video file I have now is named "cempaka.wma", "wma" means "Windows Media Video", it can't be played by "Quicktime Player". To change it you must first unhide the extension by selecting the file, hit "Ctrl-I", it's under "Name & Extension". Now you should see the extension, you just rename the file by removing the ".wma" and change it to ".avi".
***This is the lousiest method, but if you do not have internet connection, you may try this, no harm trying it, anything goes wrong, just rename the file to what it was before.***
You can also download some convertor which could convert your video format to your desired video format in a proper way (unlike changing name). There are many video convertor in the internet, choose the one you feel like the best, go to "Google" and search for "Video Convertor For Mac".
Besides that, download video player is also another easy and safe way to play video files. For example, you have a .rmvb video file, you can download "Real Player" from REAL. I would suggest a very cool player which can play almost every video file, it is the VLC player.
There is also another way which is you need to download plugins for your player. I don't know how to explain the word "plugin", maybe I should tell a short story. A team represents a "Video Player", and the team members represent "Plugins". So, if a team only has 2 members, then there are many things that cannot be done, however, if the team has more members, then many things could be done easily. In another words, you need more "plugins" for you "video player" so that it can play most video files. Another term for "plugins" is "codec". To get one of those plugins, you can also go "Google" and search for it.
I'm so tired, can I stop here? (This is not an option, please say yes, I mean you have to say "YES")

It has been a long time after I stop blogging for a while...When I was about to start a new entry, a really weird news just came out and it does surprise me when I read it. Even though, it is a little bit old but it is still worth reading it. Before that, I must say, the content does not mean to insult anyone....
